On October 3, 2019 Czech Aviation Training Centre (CATC), in the presence of the Minister of Transport of the Czech Republic and representatives of the Ministry of Transport, Civil Aviation Authority of the Czech Republic, Air Navigation Services (owner of CATC), Komerční banka, the Smartwings Group (the largest customer of CATC, bringing together the airline companies Smartwings and Czech Airlines) and other leading figures from the field of aviation, inaugurated two new full flight simulators of the highest category for the training of pilots of the Airbus A320 family, including the latest generation of A320neo, and Boeing 737 MAX. Both simulators are equipped with the most advanced technologies of the Canadian manufacturer CAE, which is the global leader in terms of number of units produced. They enable the CATC to carry out the pilot trainings according to all current and even future anticipated regulations. New simulators create a prerequisite for further improvement of the safety level in civil aviation for both existing and new CATC customers from Europe, Russia, Southeast Asia and other regions.
